I’ve been brewing beer in my shed since 2012. Together with a friend we followed a course at one of the bigger amateur beer brewing guilds, “De Amervallei”. The fellow brewers at the guild all have different backgrounds – one is a plumber, another a surgeon – each managing to express their daily expertise in the way they brew beer (and particularly assemble their brewing gear). With my background as software developer I noticed the lack for a simple calculator (dedicated to brewing calculations) that was easy to use (read: not requiring numeric input). This was a nice opportunity to build my own little app to solve this.
